German singer-songwriter Malik Harris released a new song “Dreamer” along with a music video on January 13, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “you & i” and Eurovision Song Contest 2022 Germany-represented song “Rockstars”.
The track was written by Malik Harris and Robin Karow. Produced by Robin Karow and Malik Harris.
The accompanying video was directed by Robin Karow and Marie Kobylka, starring Sophie Gisbertz, Electra Maier, Renxi Wang, Juliet Fakiri, and Peter Lewys Preston.
“My new single DREAMER is about not letting anyone or anything get between you and your dreams, whether it's your own anxieties, people around you or any forms of doubts coming from both inside and out,” Malik Harris said of the song. “I feel like nowadays so many of us struggle with holding on to their dreams because society tends to portray them as ridiculous and unrealistic while our own thoughts and self-doubts can make us question whether we're even good enough to fulfill our dreams or better not try at all. Even the word 'Dreamer' is often seen as a laughable term for someone naive who has no idea of the real world.”- He continued, “I think we need to change that. I think this world needs more dreamers. More people who are not afraid of holding on to their dreams. More people who will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals, no matter how often they're faced with adversity, mockery or uncertainty. 🔥 I love being a dreamer. Dreams are what makes the seemingly impossible come true. Without dreamers there are no miracles. And I insist on miracles. ✨”
