American rapper Lucidious retuned with a new song “Beauty In The Darkness” last month.
It is his first music in a year since 2021 EP “30 Days”
Also the song is the first single off of his upcoming fourth studio album, which is expected to be released in 2023.
On December 10th, he dropped a new music video for the song directed by VINSINT, who filmed it in Iceland.
Lucidious shared on social media, “[It's] been a while since I’ve come out with a track for you guys! I had to go deeper & process before I was ready to bring more back. We shot some really cool stuff in Iceland this summer. This is the first single to the rest of the album & it kind of sums up the realization that this journey is always going to be filled with both easier and harder times. Beauty on both sides. As bad as the hard times may hurt, I wouldn’t trade the depth that they bring. All of us are just trying to navigate how to feel good, work on our flaws & grow with all the chaos out there. I’m excited to share this one with you!”- He continued, “As I’ve gotten older I’ve really started to empathize with the human struggle in others. So many talented people out there, all of them dealing with trying to be good enough & grow. When I start feeling judgment or comparison, I remember that I have no idea what that person is going through or how hard they worked to get where they are. Jealously is really just seeing value in something someone else is doing, & knowing we could be doing more. I think we forget that we’re all capable of being better versions of ourselves. Rather than being inspired by the world, we shy away & compare. The pain I see in me is what I see in you — it’s so easy to give up, but it’s also so exciting to believe in what else we could be. The hardest part, for me at least, is believing that it’s possible. The real truth… it is.”
