Joe Jonas & Khalid Team Up for New Song “Not Alone” from New Film “Devotion” Soundtrack
American singer-songwriters Joe Jonas and Khalid teamed up to release a new song “Not Alone” on November 11, 2022.
The song is taken from the upcoming film “Devotion” soundtrack and is performed for the end credits of the film.
It was written by Joe Jonas, Ryan Tedder, HARV, and Khalid. Produced by Ryan Tedder and HARV.
The film is based on the 2017 book “Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice” by Adam Makos.
It is directed by J. D. Dillard, starring Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell.
Also, Joe Jonas appeared on the film, where he played as Marty Goode.
“Filming took place in the midst of wave 12 of lockdown,” Joe Jonas said. “We found a window of time where we were able to get this thing done with hundreds of cast and crew, and we were all safe. So that is enough to be grateful for. And even if I walk away with a handful of people seeing the film — which I don't think that's going to be the case, I will say — I made really good friends from it, and it was a learning experience that I will always treasure.”
Joe Jonas told E! Online about the song, “It's a beautiful film that I got to be in with some incredible actors. The story's heartbreaking and inspiring, and so I was asked by our director to take a stab at writing the end title song. I wrote it with Harv and Ryan Tedder, who are legends in their own right, and I reached out to my good friend Khalid and got him on the song. It's about always being there for somebody through thick and thin.”
He continued, “The cast is crazy. Just to share the screen with them and to learn around some method acting was incredible. I haven't acted in a while and I wanted to really take a stab at it. The film is a beautiful film about a band of brothers who are in the Air Force and in the Navy. There's a bit of everything: There's a love story, camaraderie, heroes and some sadness. So bring the Kleenex and some popcorn!”
The film is scheduled to be released on November 23, 2022.
