Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Lizzy McAlpine Performs at NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert
American singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine appeared on NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert to perform four songs including one new song.
This time, she performed with Boston-based folk-pop trio Tiny Habits, consisting of Cinya Khan, Judah Mayowa and Maya Rae. They met met on Instagram about a year ago.
“I wanted to recontextualize the songs on the album with just vocals and guitar,” Lizzy McAlpine said. “I feel like that's how I write most of my songs anyway. I just wanted them to be more intimate.”
Back in April, she released her sophomore album “Five Seconds Flat”, which featured 14-track, featuring Jacob Collier, Ben Kessler, Laura Elliott and FINNEAS.
From the album, she played “ceilings”, “all my ghosts”, and “weird”.
In addition to three songs, she unveiled her unreleased song called “Emma”, which is about her sister. She first performed the song during her headline tour last month.-
