  • Mike Posner Drops New Music Video for “I'm Not Dead Yet (ellis edit)”

  • Back in September, American singer-songwriter Mike Posner released the latest song “I'm Not Dead Yet”, which is based on his experience of climbing Mount Everest.

The song has already amassed over 4 millions streams.
On November 4, he released a new version of the song called “I'm Not Dead Yet (ellis edit)” along with a music video.
This time, he worked with British music producer ellis and Russian-German DJ Zedd on the track.
The track was written by Mike Posner, Nolan Lambroza, Sean Douglas, Ellis Lawrie, and Anton Zaslavski.
Produced by ellis, Zedd, and Nolan Lambroza. Accompanying video was directed by Logan Meis.
Mike Posner said, “I've been a giant fan of Zedd for years, so to have him and ellis help with the production has me in musical paradise. I love my job!”
  • Mike Posner explained of that when he was hit by the avalanche on Mount Everest, “I was going to die… That was not a 'maybe.' That was a 'for sure.' My life was going to end. Right here. And right now. Our tent was violently shaking before it ripped open. Snow billowed in, filling my sleeping bag and mouth. Avalanche. People don't survive these. This was it. I was going to die. Right here at Camp 2 on Mount Everest.”
He continued, “Then suddenly, the deafening wind stopped. I looked at my hands…still shaking. What happened? How are we still here? We figured out that the avalanche had actually stopped just short of our camp. So what we felt was its deadly last breathes. Still, we were lucky. I thought about quitting. But I didn't. Call it pride. Or call it integrity to my word. I kept climbing. But as I did, one thought persisted in my mind: 'I can't die here.' It was on loop in my head. I kept thinking, 'There's so much more music inside me. I can't die here.'”
He added, “With the grace of God, we made the summit: 4:35am, June 1st, 2021, and more importantly, we made it back down. And when we made it back down, I got my ass back in the studio. I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. Like God put this song in my mind and I'm so grateful She did.”
