April Premieres New Song “See Through” on BBC Radio 1
Irish dream-pop singer-songwriter April Lawlor, aka April premiered a new song “See Through” along with a music video on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is included her new 7-track EP “Starlane”, which is out on October 21, 2022.
It was written by April Lawlor and Christopher Smith. Produced by Cameron Gower Poole.
April Lawlor told Clara Amfo about the song, “'See Through' is definitely like a pinpoint track on the mixtape because it kind of just like has all the sounds in it. It's kind of '80s and like dancey and dreamy and ethereal and electronic and poppy and everything I love and kind of one song. And then it's also one of the most honest songs lyrically, I think, I wrote it about one of my friends. She was texting me while I was in the studio writing and she was just like talking about how she was going through like a tough time and it came out of me pretty smoothly like feelings that I felt and I just wanted to show her that I loved her and wrote in a song. I hadn't written a song about a friend before because I'm used to writing about lovers I guess. So it's my first platonic love song.”
