Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The 1975 Drops New Live Video for “I Like America & America Likes Me”
British pop rock band The 1975, consisting of Matty Healy (vocals/guitars/keyboards), Adam Hann (guitar), Ross MacDonald (bass), George Daniel (drums), has dropped a new live video for “I Like America & America Likes Me”.
The video was filmed at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios. The band filmed the music video for their previous release “All I Need To Hear” at the same studio. Both videos were directed by Samuel Bradley.
The video's intro shows the recording process as “Following the live session of 'All I Need To Hear,' the camera team are preparing to wrap but Matty wants to try and record one more song. With nothing prepared ahead of time, the band start workshopping an improvised arrangement of 'I Like America & America Likes Me.' Fifteen minutes later, they are ready to play. Matty's voice is hoarse and cracked from recording the last song. There will only be an opportunity for one take.”
“I Like America & America Likes Me” appeared on their third studio album “A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships”, which was released in 2018.
The 1975 is set to release their fifth studio album “Being Funny In a Foreign Language” this Friday (October 14th).- source : YouTube
