Toronto-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Kia Rose released a new song “DrUgS + cAnDy” on September 30, 2022.
The song is the third single since the 2021 debut album “Phases”, following “Not For the Radio” and the collaborative song “High” with Indie Space.
This time, Kia Rose worked with Kayla Diamond and NOA on the track.
Kia Rose said of the song, “Two great artists, Kayla Diamond and NOA, joined me in the session and we ended up writing 'DrUgS + cAnDy' within an hour. Before this track, I had yet to make a tune with a ton of sound FX. I'm so glad we did because they fit super well like the doorbell and the pop-can. It really adds to the ambience of the tune.”
The 21-year-old singer continued, “I think it's my job as a musician to leave anyone who listens to my music feeling better than they did before hearing it. If I can make someone's day a bit brighter by reminding them of their carefree days, and also dedicate this party anthem to the young ones who missed out, it means the world to put a smile on someone's face for at least a few minutes.”- Photo by Rob Licandro
