Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Porij Premieres New Song “Automatic” on BBC Radio 1
Manchester-based alt-rock band Porij, consisting of Eggy (vocals), Tommy (guitar), Jammo (bass) and Tom (drums), premiered a new song “Automatic” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the third single off of their upcoming EP, following “Figure Skating” and “Lose Our Minds”.
It was written by Amber Moore, James Middleton, Tom Donaldson and Tommy Villiers.
Eggy said of the song, “This track is all about remembering the first time you felt cool. For me that was walking down the corridor in primary school with my overload Dalmatian tracksuit, you know, I think I was happy at this moment at the ground age of six. Basically the song acknowledges like how addictive that sensation is not trying to take yourself too seriously.”
