Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Shygirl Premieres New Song “Coochie (a bedtime story)” on BBC Radio 1
London-based rapper and songwriter Blane Muise, aka Shygirl premiered a new song “Coochie (a bedtime story)” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming debut studio album “Nymph”, following “Come For Me” and “Firefly”.
The track was written by Shygirl, Karma Kid, Mura Masa, Sega Bodega, and Cosha. Produced by Karma Kid, Mura Masa and Sega Bodega.
The accompanying music video was directed by Samuel Ibram, who filmed in Blackpool, England.
Shygirl told Clara Amfo about the song, “I think that's kind of, I mean, when we made it, it was at the end of a long day. And I was kind of just saying some random stuff to myself and almost sending myself to bed, but I thought it'd be funny. If there was this little like Shygirl lullaby for everyone because I think everyone has a different opinion of me than the person who's gonna make the lullaby.”
The debut album comprises 12-track and is set to be released on September 30, 2022 via Because Music and Shygirl's own label Nuxxe and through Virgin Music Label & Artist Services internationally.- source : BBC Radio 1
