VUKOVI Premieres New Song “I EXIST” on BBC Radio 1
Scottish rock band VUKOVI, consisting of Janine Shilstone (vocals) and Hamish Reilly (guitar), premiered a new song “I EXIST” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the sixth single off of their upcoming third studio album “NULA”.
It was written by Bruce Rintoul, Hamish Reilly and Janine Shilstone. Produced by Bruce Rintoul and VUKOVI.
Janine Shilstone told Clara Amfo about the song, “I think I wrote this will meet myself and Hamish. I wrote the lyrics. I think it was last year. It was I had a terrific period of my life last year. And the song I suppose is more like a celebration of getting through it. And as an uplifting song, it's dark but it's hope it's not. Life is always going to be like this. And I just think it's always like a little bit mark of where you were at that point and knew where you are now and you realize like this is always going to be temporary. It's just trying to like highlight to people like you make me feel less free. But really, as temporary like your life is it's up and down like as bet cliche. But it says.”
The new album is set to be released on October 7, 2022 via LAB Records.
Janine Shilstone said of the album, “I think about what's happening in the world too much. The way the rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer. The greed. The cruelty. There's a lot of that on the record, and in Nula's story.”- Background photo by Zak Pinchin
