American singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes released a new song “Missing You” along with a music video on July 8, 2022.
The song will appear on his upcoming fifth major label studio album “Red Sky (Part II)”.
It was written and produced by Dan Book, Kevin Griffin and Hunter Hayes. The accompanying video was directed by Krizia Vega.
The new album is expected to be released in 2022, following the 2019 “Wild Blue (Part I)” and “Wild Blue Complete” an extension of “Wild Blue (Part I).
Last year, he released two songs "The One That Got Away" and "If You Change Your Mind" from the album.
Hunter Hayes shared on social media, “Yes, yes it is. 'Missing You' is the beginning of a new era and I'm so happy we're here! - It's part of a new album, with a new sound, and a new creative spirit that I can't wait for you to hear more from!”- He continued, “I'd like to take a second and shout out some of the family/team members that have been working so hard to bring this song to life - My friends Dan Book and Kevin Griffin who invited me into a writing session for the first time all together and chased this idea until it told a story!
My executive producer Lindgren with whom I've had a lot of fun treating this album more like a movie with a musical/lyrical story to tell. Can't wait for you to hear more of it!
