Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy announced his sophomore album “Sonder” would be released on September 23, 2022.
It is his first album in three years since the 2019 debut album “Without Fear”.
The album title encapsulates phrase for “the realisation that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own”.
Dermot Kennedy said of the album, “The meaning behind ‘Sonder’ has resonated with me so much for years. I exist in an industry where we’re encouraged to constantly only think about ourselves and I find that exhausting and uninspiring. I want to learn about you. Let us share all of our triumphs, all of our troubles. Let this music belong to all of us, to find our own stories and our own solace within it.”
From the album, he released the third single called “Dreamer” along with a music video.
The track was written by Dermot Kennedy, Scott Harris and Daniel Nigro. Produced by Daniel Nigro, Scott Harris, and Ryan Linvill.
The video was directed by Chirolles Khalil.
