Edmonton-based singer-songwriter Kaeley Jade Wiebe, aka Kaeley Jade released a new song “Poltergeist” on June 24, 2022.
The song is taken form her upcoming debut album “Turpentine”, following “Ego” released back in April.
It was written by Kaeley Jade Wiebe, Bradley J Simons, Randor Lin and Brandon Unis. Produced by the JUNO-nominated team at Velveteen Music.
“Feeling the spark go out in a relationship is brutal—it’s somewhat of a catch-22, because the harder you try to hold on to someone, the faster they seem to slip away,” Kaeley Jade said of the song. “A couple years back, I was seeing someone for a while, and just when it seemed like it was starting to go somewhere, I noticed a strange feeling of distance between us that began to grow and grow to a point where one day, we just stopped talking to each other altogether. It was as if I had dated a ghost. So I ended up writing 'Poltergeist' as a bit of a tongue-in-cheek response to that experience.”
