American singer-songwriter Ashe released a new song “Hope You're Not Happy” along with a music video.
The song follows up “Another Man's Jeans, which was released back in March.
She first performed the song during her second headline tour “The Fault Line Tour”.
She teased the song on TikTok in late March. The clip garnered over 1.2 million views.
The track was written by Ashlyn Willson, John Ryan, Ian Franzio and Andrew Haas. Produced by Leroy Clampitt, John Ryan and Afterhrs.
The accompanying video was directed by Muriel Margaret.
She said in the video, “Some songs are about feeling good and wanting the best for people like you are. Moving on moving forward accepting what happened. This is not that song.”
Ashe shared on social media, “all footage recorded in this video was taken before the release of this song which BLOWS MY MIND!!! this song is a snapshot of the way i've felt at times and it's been incredible therapy to scream it with you.”- WcwxNiTgjTM
