American alt-pop singer-songwriter Gatlin Thornton, aka Gatlin released a new song “2000 Miles” with an accompanying music video.
The song follows up her sophomore EP “To Remind Me of Home”, which was released in June 2021.
It was written by Gatlin Thornton and Michelle Buzz. Production by Michelle Buzz and Nick Lobel.
The video was filmed by Kat and Dan.
Gatlin Thornton said of the song, “'2000 Miles' is a song I wrote about moving out to Los Angeles from Nashville at the start of 2021. It's about my journey of finding freedom and happiness outside of a codependent relationship. I wanted it to feel light and breezy and something that people can listen to in the car/with friends and just feel a release! It's about growth and finally deciding to put myself first."- Gatlin Thornton is from Orlando and is currently based between Los Angeles and Nashville. She debuted as a member of the three-piece indie band Sadie Hawkins.
She released the debut EP “Sugarcoated” in 2020, featuring “Talking To Myself” which has garnered over 5.7 million streams to date.
The second EP “To Remind Me of Home” was released in 2021, featuring breakout track, “What If I Love You”. - source : Apple Music
