Harry and The Chicks Releases New Song “Snakes in The Streets”
London-based singer-songwriter Harry Mary-Ann Adams, aka Harry and The Chicks released a new song “Snakes in The Streets” on March 4, 2022.
The track received its first play during BBC Music introducing Essex.
The song follows up “Saturn's Rings”, which was released last March. It was written and produced by Harry Mary-Ann Adams and Imad Salhi.
Harry and The Chicks said of the song, “The song is about putting trust in people too soon. I can be so open with people that I leave myself vulnerable to others, and I’ve had this trait since I was a teenager. When you’re a teenager, it can feel like you have an audience around you that are eagerly awaiting your downfall at all times. I felt eyes on me, and my friends thought I was paranoid. At the same time though, I’d been added to harassing group chats made by some of my peers, and I’d even have people following me home.”- She shared on social media, “Co written and Produced by Imad Salh with Dante Coates on guitar, I wrote this song whilst feeling extremely anxious after lockdown. I was suffering with sleep paralysis and had dreams about people that stalked me as a teenager that wouldn’t go away until I wrote this song - I kinda manifested it by writing it but on my way to the studio I was catcalled and harassed 14 times one day when we were recording it so that set the tone for the music video which is coming out on International Women’s Day (08/03/22) photo and video by Elena Torrano who is the ultra talented creative glue behind all my press pics & the album cover for snakes in the streets.”
