Rare Bloom Returns With New Song “Montreal Screwjob” featuring Carlos Salazar of Before There Was Rosalyn
Austin-based pop-punk band Rare Bloom, consisting of Ethan Thayer, Jake Reeves, Ruben Tirado, Taylor Dyer, and Jordan Brady, returned with a new song “Montreal Screwjob” on February 22, 2022.
It is their first music in three years since the 2019 single “Better Days”.
This time, the band teamed up with American post-hardcore band Before There Was Rosalyn's vocalist Carlos Salazar on the track.
The track was written by Ethan Thayer, Jake Reeves, Ruben Tirado, Taylor Dyer, and Jordan Brady. The band recorded at Blackroom Studios.
The lyric video was animated by Mother Brainart.
Ethan Thayer said of the song, “I'd like to think this song is an anthem for the underdog. It helps give you a positive outlook to what's going on in the world, with this covid madness, and let you know you've got this, IT WILL BE OKAY!”- “screwjob” is a professional wrestling parlance known as a secret change of the match's pre-determined finish.
The Montreal Screwjob was an infamous unscripted professional wrestling incident that occurred on November 9, 1997, at the Survivor Series pay-per-view at the Molson Centre. World Wrestling Federation owner Vince McMahon and his employees covertly manipulated the outcome of the match between Bret Hart, the reigning WWF Champion, and Shawn Michaels. -
