MØ Releases New Album “Motordrome”: Streaming
Danish singer-songwriter MØ released her third album “Motordrome” along with a new music video for “New Moon” on January 28, 2022.
It is her first album in four years since the 2018 album “Forever Neverland”.
The album title came from a conversation with her mother about her battles with anxiety-the panic and intrusive thoughts called to mind the dødstrome, which is old carnival trick that a stuntperson rides a motorcycle around the vertical walls of a motordrome.
The album comprises 10-track, produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, Jam City, S.G. Lewis, Linus Wiklund and Yangze.
“The album is about both the sadness and the joy of making changes in your life,” MØ said. “I hope that people will feel that it's genuine and that there are stories there that they can connect with. For me this album represents a huge change in my life. Even though I'm still doing what I love doing, it does feel like a new chapter. An era of my life is over and I'm entering a new one. That is scary, but it's freeing.”
The accompanying video was directed by London based multi-visual design duo Fa and Fon.
“'New Moon' is a song made to manifest a new era, a song about regaining control,” she said. “To me, it's a reminder to listen to myself, trust my instincts, and not let external forces blur my vision and get me stuck in a spiral. I hope other people get the same energy from it.”
MØ will embark on European and North American Tour in support of the album. The tour kicks off at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on February 25, 2022.
