Chelsea Cutler Releases New Song “the lifeboat's empty!”
American singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler released a new song “the lifeboat's empty!” along with a music video on January 28, 2022.
The song will appear on her sophomore album “When I Close My Eyes” deluxe edition.
It was written by Chelsea Cutler, Alexander O'Neill, Thomas Michel and Mikael Temrowski. Produced by ayokay, Hazey Eyes and Chelsea Cutler.
The track is inspired by Titanic. “You know how they sent a ton of lifeboats off before they were fully filled?” Chelsea Cutler told Variety. “More people could have lived had they actually filled them to capacity. I was just thinking how there are so many tangible ways that you can work on it, but no one's following through.”
The deluxe edition of “When I Close My Eyes” features the previous 13 songs and three new track. It will be released later this spring.
Chelsea Cutler shared on social media, “It has bee an amazing few months of WICME! Even though I submitted all songs for the album over the summer, I still felt I wasn't fully ready to start moving on conceptually or sonically. So I kept writing! and got a few songs that I really love. So I'm going to be putting them onto a WICME deluxe:) It will come some point before tour.”
She embarks on “When I Close My Eyes Tour”. The tour kicks off at Stubb's Outdoors in Austin on March 9, 2022.
