Cassadee Pope Releases New Song “Tomorrow Night” from New Album “Thrive”
American singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope will release her upcoming fourth studio album “Thrive” on October 15, 2021. It is her first album in a year.
From the album, she dropped a new song “Tomorrow Night” along with a music video.
It was written by Cassadee Pope, Aaron Chafin and Devin Guisande. Produced by Nickolas Wheeler, Karen Fairchild and Cassadee Pope.
The video was co-directed by Kameron Kennedy and Cassadee Pope. Featuring her puppy, Cuppy.
“I had a zoom session booked with Devin Guisande and Aaron Chafin that I was prepping for. I came up with the chorus for “tomorrow night” and when the session started, the song was written incredibly fast. When an idea is so simple and so relatable, it tends to write itself!” Cassadee Pope said of the song. “After the zoom writing session, I sent a worktape to Aaron who then created a demo for me to sing over. Once it was time to track the song in the studio, the session band really just elevated what was already there. The demo was extremely close to what the finished product sounds like! Then I resided my vocals at my producer Nick Wheeler's house, harmonies were next, it was sent to mixing, then mastering, and here we are!”
She continued, “I remember starting to date my now boyfriend and being so impatient with getting to see him again. Society makes us feel like we have to play the game, act cool, don't be too eager. And this song really just strips all of that away and shows what we're all actually feeling when we start to fall for someone.”- The album contains 13-track, featuring guest appearances from Karen Fairchild, Lindsay Ell and Stephan Jenkins.
She explained of the album, “I'm so proud of it. During the pandemic, I did a lot of reflecting, like everybody, I'm sure. And [I'm] just kinda incorporating more of my pop-punk roots into music now. I've been always singing country music, as a kid, but pop-punk has always been a part of my journey as well. I just found this sweet spot of incorporating all of it and finding that blend. I hope that people get that from the album.”
She said, I wanted to name the album Thrive because that word explodes with empowerment and endurance. The title track talks about not just surviving something but thriving from it, and I'm at a point in my life where I can see how the hard times were necessary. I also feel so unapologetically me in this new project, which makes me thrive in every sense of the word!” - source : Genius
