TEME Releases New EP “HALF”: Streaming
British alt-pop duo TEME, consisting of JJ Hodari and Bo Morgan, has released their third EP “HALF” on August 18, 2021. It is their first EP in a year and a half.
The EP comprises of 4-track, including two new tracks and preceding singles “Def Con” and “HA LF”.
New EP explores the themes of emotional division, both internally and externally. It draws on experiences of being ”half” of a romantic relationship in “DEF CON” and “HR”, of a friendship in “BROAD STREET”, and of feeling so conflicted you're battling with the other half of yourself in “HA LF”. Through visceral and visual language, it takes an honest, self-critical look at these relationships, acknowledging the difficulties of knowing how to move forward, when one is internally conflicted.
TEME said of the EP, “Each song on this EP comprises of two main sections. We want each song to be a journey for the listener, but with repetition that grounds them. The record is a synthesis of sounds and recordings of where we have been living in the last 18 months, which includes the beautiful Ludlow (our main base), the West Coast of Ireland, London and Manchester. Some of it was recorded in the solace of lockdown, and some recorded in the beautiful Baltic Studios in Haggerston.”- source : Apple Music
