Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The Danberrys Releases New Song “Shine”
Nashville-based country music duo The Danberrys, consisting of Ben DeBerry and Dorothy Daniel, will release their third studio album “Shine” on May 8th.
From the album, the duo dropped the title track on March 6th. The track features rock, blues, and folk sound with wild slide guitar like Ry Cooder.
Dorothy Daniel said of the song, “‘Shine’ is about finding forgiveness when there has been no justice, no apology, no explanation – forgiveness for the sake of releasing yourself. It’s about journeying steadfastly towards the tiny seed of light within and setting it on fire. The lyrics reflect the hard-earned skill of existing in more than one place within yourself at once, learning to accept and even embrace the dichotomy of darkness and light.”
The duo has already filmed the music video for the song in Charlotte, directed by Scot Sax, which will be premiered shortly.- source : Elmore Magazine
