Last month, American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert released his fourth EP “Velvet: Side A”.
The EP is the first of a two-part release that together will comprise his fourth studio album “Velvet”, with ”Side B” expected to follow within several months.
From the EP, he premiered a live session video for “Closer To You”. It was written by Adam Lambert, Noise Club, and Asia Whiteacre.
Adam Lambert said of the song, “The song is a straight-up ballad, a very throwback ‘70s pop kind of ballad, and it’s brutally honest. And it has some drama to it.”
He made the album as '70s funk vibe. He stated, "a slight homage to that period and all the different types of music that I heard growing up. Hear instruments in my music again, to feel a little more analog. When I get on stage to perform it, I wanted it to be able to be recreated with live players."- source : Billboard
