British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has dropped a new music video for “South of the Border” directed by Jason Koenig.
The video stars Camila Cabello, Cardi B, American model Alexis Ren and actor Paul Karmiryan.
The high-budget clip is modeled after James Bond or Charlie's Angels.
The song is included on his fourth studio album "No.6 Collaborations Project", which was released back in July.
Ed Sheeran said of the song, “I’ve always wanted to make a song with Cardi B. Cardi B, personality-wise, even if you just had her talking on a song… I just love her. Cherry’s (Ed’s wife) obsessed with her. I’ve got to meet her a few times, she’s very animated, very lovely.
I always wanted her on a record. I met Camila in 2013 at the VMAs when she was in Fifth Harmony. We’ve always kept in touch – I don’t know if you’ve met her but she’s very, very sweet, very, very nice.
It has a Latin flavor, you could say that. She’s (Camila) from Cuba, she speaks fluent Spanish. And Cardi’s Dominican. I just felt like it was a good mix.”- source : Rolling Stone
