Bastille Performs “Bad Decisions” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
- British alt-pop band Bastille premiered a new music video for “Bad Decisions” directed by Zac Ella and Emile Rafael.
The track is included on their third studio album “Doom Days”, which was released back in June.
Also, the band appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform the song.
Frontman Dan Smith said, “On one level, it’s about the stupid shit we do that we know isn’t good for us, but we do it anyway. It’s also about that point in a relationship where you can both identify that it’s potentially quite self-destructive and probably best to end things, but there’s bits of it you don’t want to let go of. It also speaks to these big, collective decisions we seem to be making, be it in elections or whatever, that some people view as great and some people view as terrible, but ultimately we all have to live through.”
“We also wanted to look at the national and international bad decisions,” Dan Smith said to Rolling Stone, “Especially when it comes to voting … Everybody has to live with the consequences of those decisions. In the U.K. ,we are years on from having voted to leave the E.U., which is something that I, or we, don’t think is remotely a good idea at all. It’s still undecided. It’s kind of a turbulent time, and I guess we’re dealing with that decision.”
