Zhavia Ward Releases New Song “17”
- Back in May, American singer-songwriter Zhavia Ward collaborated with former One Direction Zayn Malik to release "A Whole New World" from Walt Disney film “Aladdin” soundtrack.
Following the song, she released a new single “17” on May 31st from her upcoming debut EP of the same title.
She told PopCrash about the song, “I did face a lyrical challenge when working on “17” because I wanted to tell my story but I didn’t want to do it in a way where it would come across as cheesy or over-telling. I still wanted to keep some parts of my story private, but I told enough to where you can get where I’m coming from and you can kind of see what I’ve gone through. I wanted to make it inspiring and have something my fans can relate to if they’re going through something similar.”
The 6-track EP “17” is set to be released this month. Also she is currently working on her debut album. “This year I hope that the EP does really well! I'll continue [working] on my debut album — that should be coming soon. I also want to go on tour and I definitely want to get this next set of music out a lot faster than the first one,” she said.
