- Kid Bloom Premieres New Music Video for “Parents House”
- American funky pop rock band Kid Bloom dropped a new music video for “Parents House” directed by Joseph B. Carlin.
“Parents House” features a nostalgic look into a high school romance of an era past.
The band said, “Parents House, to us, evokes a ’70s retro high school movie in our heads, while still trying to be a modern pop song. It was actually inspired by the show Stranger Things. It captures that retro vibe.”
The track is a first taste of their upcoming third EP "Lemonhead", which will be released this Fall.
Recently, the song was used in Vogue Italia cover's video, in which featuring American fashion model Gigi Hadid.
Frontman Lennon Kloser told Ones to Watch about the song in an interview;
"I’d been sitting on that chorus for a while, and then I wrote the verse because I watched the first episode of Stranger Things. It just took me in and I loved it, so I just wrote a song about it and put the two songs together. And it worked so well. The song is so controversial, you either love it or you hate it. I love that."
Kid Bloom was formed in 2015, consisting of Lennon Kloser (vocals / guitar), Blake Morell (bass), Clayton Sewelson (drums) and Zach Tabori (guitar).
The band has released two EPs, "A Different State of Mind" (2016) and "A Long Kiss Goodbye" (2017), so far.
Their hit single "Electric U" was featured in 2016's film "Independence Day Resurgence", directed by Roland Emmerich, starring Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman.
