Los Angeles-based Swedish singer-songwriter Matilda Jonsson, aka Matilda has delivered a new song “Queen” via SoundCloud.
The track is taken from her upcoming debut EP "Drifting By", which is out June 29th.
The sound blends electro-pop, R&B and jazz, also it reminds us of OneRepublic. The track was written by Matilda Jonsson, Parker Nornes, Daniel Hines.
Matilda said of the song, “This song is about being praised in a relationship. I was in a situation where my partner had more feelings than I did, and it felt so good hearing it, but maybe I didn't think I deserved it which is why the track has a darker edge to the vibe.”
Matilda Jonsson moved to Massachusetts from Stockholm at age 19, who has studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston for two years.
Afterwards, she moved to Los Angeles and started her own music project. “[Moving to LA] has been the biggest development and I've found myself creatively, found my voice and my image as an artist,” she said.
She released a debut song "Red Lips" in February 2017. Followed by, two songs "Oh Father" and "Because of you" were released in the same year.- source : EARMILK
