  • G-Eazy Releases New Album “These Things Happen Too”: Streaming

  • American rapper G-Eazy released his sixth studio album “These Things Happen Too” on September 24, 2021.

The album features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, YG, Goody Grace, E-40, DaBoii, ShooterGang Kony, Demi Lovato, Marc E. Bassy, Ty Dolla Sign, Kossisko, Matt Shultz, and Anthony Hamilton, while its deluxe edition features guest appearances from Tay Keith, EST Gee, Tory Lanez, Tyga, Chris Brown, Mark Morrison, Jack Harlow, Blackbear, and Ant Clemons.
The album is a sequel to his debut major-label studio album “These Things Happen”, which was released in 2014.
G-Eazy said of the album, “This album is a full circle journey about coming back home. And I wanted to touch back on some of the thematic elements of the first one, but do it through the lens of where I'm at now. The journey has been full of its highs and lows, and full of a lot of dreams coming true, but also a lot of adversity.”
He continued, "If I start out in space on the first record, this is a spaceship coming back home — it's a little banged up and dirty and dented, but it's all been a beautiful journey. [I've] grown and matured and evolved as an artist. In my opinion, this is a much better record from a technique standpoint, but the perspective that I'm approaching the music with is a more mature one. And this record shows that growth and evolution.”
  • This time, he re-recorded “I, Me & Myself” and “Running Wild (Tumblr Girls 2)” from the debut album as new songs.
G-EAZY told Entertainment Weekly about old songs, “I've been working on this album for the past three years. And it came to me pretty early on in the process as to what I wanted to do and where I wanted to take it. It's not like I really set out with that in mind before I start. I just got started creating. I write freely, and then the music typically has a way of telling me what it's going to be about. I don't try to overthink it. I just let it come to me.”
