Miley Cyrus Covers Metallica's “Nothing Else Matters” featuring Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Robert Trujillo, Chad Smith, Andrew Watt
American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus released a cover of American heavy metal band Metallica's “Nothing Else Matters”.
She first performed the song at Glastonbury Festival in 2019.
The song is taken from Metallica's forthcoming tribute album “The Metallica Blacklist”, which is set to be released on September 10, 2021.
The track features Elton John, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Produced by Andrew Watt.
Miley Cyrus said, “I'm so excited about this collaboration. Andrew Watt produced it, and I'm really stoked. Having Elton John and Metallica and me… I love when ingredients don't quite fit, or it seems like a concoction that no-one would put together, and you've got to have someone wild enough like Watt that will take that risk.”
“The Metallica Blacklist” will be released as celebrating the 30th anniversary of their self-titled fifth studio album “Metallica”, aka “The Black Album”.
The collection features a whopping 53 collaborators across seven LPs, the likes of Weezer, Biffy Clyro, St. Vincent, Royal Blood, Mac Demarco, Phoebe Bridgers and The Chats.- source : Spotify
