- Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae performed “bad ones” on her virtual show back last month.
Tate McRae shared on social media, “BAD ONES from my virtual show. choreo by the one n only Michellel Dawley 💘 this was crazy. thank u to everyone who made it possible. thank u to everyone who tuned in i love u guys”
The song is included on her sophomore EP “Too Young to Be Sad”, which was released back in March.
It was written by Tate McRae, Billy Walsh, Louis Castle and James Bairian.
She first performed the song on her her YouTube Live “singing some unreleased songs for u guys” last September.
Tate McRae said of the song, “This funny, because I've been sitting on this one for a long time like since before the pandemic and it was like this really simple song that I wrote by myself in a room look like a one producer and I think it was because I was like talking to due at the time that I was just like really in my field about this boy who was full-on playing me. We left it for like a year or something a year and half, and then my producer Blake who did you broke me first he's like one of my favorites, so we got him to like redo the song and he basically just like created this whole another vibe and made it literally sound like a cinematic movie.”
