Morcheeba Releases New Song “Killed Our Love”
- British electro-pop band Morcheeba, consisting of Skye Edwards and Ross Godfrey, will release their 10th studio album “Blackest Blue” on May 14, 2021. It is their first LP in three years.
From the album, the band unveiled the fourth single called “Killed Our Love” with an accompanying music video, following “Sounds of Blue”, “Oh Oh Yeah” and “The Moon”.
The track was written by Skye Edwards and Ross Godfrey. The video was directed by Martin J Pickering, who also directed the video for previous song “The Moon”.
The new album comprises of 10-track, featuring Duke Garwood and Brad Barr. The band created after canceled the tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ross Godfrey said, “time to write songs and really get to hone them.” Skye Edwards added, “There weren't so many pressures so we could really take our time getting the songs right.”
- Also, Ross Godfrey said about a collaboration with Brad Barr, “I managed to get hold of him on the phone and asked him to be on our album. I sent him a rough piano demo I had played and he sent back the bones of 'Say it's Over'. Skye completed the melody and a lyric and we had a stone cold break up song on our hands. It is a real stand out track for me, heavy as a ton.”
The band will embark on headline tour in the UK and Europe this summer. The tour kicks off at Zeleny Theatre, Moscow on June 4, 2021.
