Back in August, American singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope released her third studio album “Rise and Shine” via Awake Music.
The album comprises of 8-track, including a cover of Hey Monday's “Hangover”. The other seven songs were written in 2017.
From the album, she dropped a new music video for the album title track on December 23rd. She shot the videos for 8 songs of the album in two days.
Cassadee Pope shared on social media, “How I felt after filming 8 full music videos in two days 😅 Shoutout to Lee Goff 44 Designs for keeping everyone focused and the energy high so we could deliver these heartfelt videos to you. They all turned out so beautiful but I think my favorite is the official video for Rise and Shine. Loved getting to wear a fancy dress again, too! Been a while!”
“Rise and Shine” was written by Cassadee Pope, Danny Orton and Matt Scannell.
She told Apple Music about the song, “A message that I really wanted to focus on for this record is mental health. Everybody is dealing with everything going on in the world differently. I'm very open and vocal about feelings and mental health, and I've been in therapy for probably three years now and just done a lot of inner work. I want people to feel safe going into a place of feeling whatever emotions they have inside, and I hope that 'Rise and Shine' is one of those songs that helps them get into that place of letting it out.”- KtbfIMTlyro
