Billy Walton Band Releases New Album “Dark Hour”: Streaming
American rock band Billy Walton Band released their sixth studio album “Dark Hour” on September 4th via Harmonized Records.
The album comprises of 12-track and is their first LP in two years. It features '70s R&B and rock sound vibe like Tower of Power and The Allman Brothers Band.
The band recorded the album at Cambridge Sound Studios in Philadelphia. Produced by Jim Salamone.
The band said, “When I was writing the songs for Dark Hour I decided to take a different approach. I would take elements of friends' failed relationships and the darkness that follows... The album allowed me to take on the persona of the characters of the songs. The heartbroken and the heartbreakers, the hopeless and the hopeful, The angry and the forgiving. The record takes you on a ride and hopefully brings clarity to the ones living in that 'dark hour.'”
Jim Salamone said, “An absolute treat to work with a contemporary guitar hero and a band that knows how to rock. Billy chooses to blaze the paths set by the likes of Hendrix, Clapton, Page, and Beck. In 2020 that's a refreshing and welcome breath of a seldom heard art. Top it off with great writing and you have the makings of a great rock n roll record. For me, recording this album was about passion and respect for the genre and band. Beer, sweat, and balls!!! Fun!”- source : Popmatters
