FATHERDUDE Releases New EP “Billions”: Streaming
- New York-based R&B singer-songwriter Mitch Conwell, aka FATHERDUDE appeared on NBC’s Songland to perform a new song “Billions” on June 15th.
The next day, he released his three-track new EP “Billions” including the title song on June 16, 2020. Produced by Konrad OldMoney, Alge and Mitchell Conwell.
“I wrote ‘Billions’ almost three years ago — I knew it was special so I was saving it for something and that something ended up being Songland,” Mitch Conwell said. “I wrote 'Do or Die' about the long path that has led me here today. I’ve been making music in some professional way for almost 18 years now. There have been so many ups and downs and twists and turns but I always remind myself that “you can’t choose your success.” You can only keep showing up and learning from what works and what doesn’t. I have so much to be grateful for in life and I hope that this song inspires other people to keep pushing for what they believe in. It’s only cliche because it’s true.”
He continued, “The second track is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written called 'Land of Denial'. Produced by Alge, we tried to capture the depths of introspection. Whether it’s the place you live or the phone we spend our days staring into, it’s all smoke and mirrors - let’s just remember to balance ourselves with self-awareness and honesty.”
