Gabrielle Aplin Releases New Song “Go Be Free”
British singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin released her brand new song “Go Be Free” on December 20, 2024.
The song is her first solo music since the 5-track EP “Writers Block, Pt. 1”, which was released back in April.
Also, the song wraps up the year for her and will appear on her upcoming project.
The track was written by Gabrielle Aplin and Liz Horsman. Produced by Liz Horsman and Mike Spencer.
Gabrielle Aplin said of the song, “I wasn't going to let the year end without releasing a new one! This song is so special to me. It's about the circles of life and nature and how what is for you will always find you and what isn't won't. So many of you said it feels like it could've been on English Rain from what you've heard so far! I agree. It feels like coming home to myself a bit!”- Gabrielle Aplin shared on social media, “I wanna tell you about my new song 'Go Be Free'. So I'm not saying to be annoying, and I genuinely am not. But it was written as part of a bigger project that I'm not allowed to say about yet. It doesn't matter, 'cause I can till tell you the creative process, I suppose the song that I had to write for project, you know, it's very close to nature the se and kind of coming back to whatever is meant for you or like be it your loved ones, yourself, your interests and kind of, you know, really knowing who you are. But for me, I was really thinking a lot about the circle of life and experiencing a lot of grief kind of found a lot comfort in writing how everything is connected and I love nature and it just made me think of how we kind of I mean we are nature. But how we're connected in those ways too so, you know water could be in a cloud and then it can rain and then it can run down a mountain it will eventually make it's way back to the sea. And that water might water some soil somewhere and grow a seed I try and remember that whenever I start feeling sad about especially grief or just anything is that like everything's a circle, everything just keeps going, I believe anyway. We'll always come back to wherever we're meant to be essentially. And that's what the songs about you know what is meant for you will find you or other way round.”
