Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ MAX Releases New Song “STUPID IN LOVE” featuring HUH YUNJIN of LE SSERAFIM
American singer-songwriter MAX will release his third studio album “Love In Stereo” on February 18, 2024 via Warner Records.
The album comprises 12-track, featuring guest appearances from Bazzi, HUH YUNJIN (허윤진), JVKE, keshi, and Ali It It is his first album in four years since the 2020 album “Colour Vision”.
MAX said of the album, “I feel so honored to have such incredible collaborators like HUH YUNJIN of LESSERAFIM, keshi, jvke, bazzi, duckwrth, and Ali Gatie. This is such a special album to me and I am eternally grateful to all of the brilliant creatives who made my dream come true in forming this new world, sound, and era. I'm so excited for you all to hear it.”
From the album, he released a new song “STUPID IN LOVE” on February 9, 2024.
This time, he teamed up with Korean-American singer-songwriter and a member of South Korean girl group LE SSERAFIM, HUH YUNJIN on the track.
MAX said of the song, “'STUPID IN LOVE' is one of the most special songs to me. It's based off of my own love story with my wife, who I got engaged to four months after we started dating and were married five months later. Then recently when I visited Korea, I met Yunjin and saw her perform and was so blown away. I sent Yunjin the song and she delivered such a beautiful verse and really completed the song as a whole. I'm so grateful and excited to have her on this track with me”- MAX shared on social media, “Huh Yunjin and I met in Korea last year. I was there performing at a festival and writing with the BTS team. While writing, the BTS team asked if I’d be open to working with LESSERAFIM and that they were fans of mine. I was so honored and said of course I’d love to work with them.
When I visited the LESSERAFIM producers’ studio, I was greeted with a heartwarming gift-a copy of their album along with a heartfelt handwritten note from HUH YUNJIN. This genuine and sweet gesture made me even more excited to collaborate with the group.” -
He continued, “I ended up getting to stay a few extra days in Seoul to see HUH YUNJIN perform live (was blown away) and meet the whole group. We even did a dance to one of their songs that I spent 3 days in my hotel room trying to learn so I wouldn't embarrass myself.
A few weeks later, I sent “Stupid In Love” to HUH YUNJIN and her team, and I was so thrilled that they wanted to be a part of it. This is one of my all-time favorite songs, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do.” - source : Apple Music
