Beebee Bassey Returns With New Song “Toxic Places”
Nigerian singer-songwriter Beebee Bassey returned with a new song “Toxic Places” on January 15, 2024.
The song is her first music in four years since the 2020 singles “Incredible God” and “Live for You (Live)”.
The track is a candid exploration of the internal dilemmas and conflicts many individuals face, shedding light on feelings of entrapment, societal pressures, and the façade worn to conceal true emotions.
Lyrically, such as “We wear a Mask that shows a smile like cancer it's eating us up”, vividly depict the internal suffering and decay experienced by those navigating toxic relationships.
The track was written by Blessing Okon Bassey and produced by Efe Mac Roc.
