Boyce Avenue Covers Gene Wilder's “Pure Imagination”
Sarasota-based cover band Boyce Avenue, consisting of Alejandro Luis Manzano (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Fabian Rafael Manzano (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Daniel Enrique Manzano (bass/backing vocals), released a cover of American actor Gene Wilder's “Pure Imagination” on December 15, 2023.
The original version of the song is featured on the 1971 film “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”.
In the film, Gene Wilder sung it as the character of Willy Wonka.
The track was written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse. Leslie Bricusse has stated that the song was written over the phone in one day.
