iskwē Releases New Song “Part Two”
Canadian singer-songwriter iskwē released a new song “Part Two” along with a music video on November 2, 2023.
The song title means to reflect “the second act in the story of a wonderful love affair that came to a crashing halt.”
The track was written by iskwē, Ali 'Willa' Milner, and Damian Taylor, who also produced it.
“This is a song about a broken heart, my broken heart, after a rocky relationship finally came crashing down,” iskwē said of the song. “We should have known, and we probably did, that things would end as passionately as they began. We ran the other to the ground while simultaneously pulling each other back to our feet, but the landing got slipperier and slipperier with each recovery, until enough was enough.”- iskwē shared on social media, “The battle was over. There was no winner, nor a loser. We had pulled each other to our points of destruction. Enough was finally enough, we needed to disengage. I needed to disengage. For whatever reason, love has the ability to crack us open from the seams, and no matter how many ways or how many times we tried to hold the fragments together, our love affair did not withstand the test of time. Our era had ended, part two was complete.”
