The Magi Releases New Song “Ten Toes (The Nashville Cut)”
Nashville-based soul trio The Magi, consisting of Damien Horne (guitar/vocals), Kenny Carter (bass/vocals) and David 'DJ' Lee (beatbox/vocals), released a new song “Ten Toes (The Nashville Cut)” on September 22, 2023.
The song is a new edition of “Ten Toes”, which was released as the second single of 2023 back in July, following “Haters”.
The trio has already filmed a music video for the song, which will premiere on September 27, 2023.
The track was written by Damien Horne, Kenny Carter, and David Lee. Produced by Kenny Carter.
The lyrics of the song piggy back on the band's debut single, “Try”.
David 'DJ' Lee said, “As a band, our primary goal is to inspire and encourage with our songs. We write the lyrics to communicate that and we also write the music to communicate that as well using a groove and energy that makes you feel good. 'Ten Toes' was written to make a statement that we are standing firm in our positive attitude. We're also fully aware that life can be painful and difficult, but throughout everything, we found that love conquers all. Standing firm... 'Ten Toes Down.'”- The lyrics of the song piggy back on the band's debut single, “Try”.
He added, “'Try' was a song written from a place of frustration. Ten Toes is full of hope and optimism, and the vibe and energy of the song encompasses that.” -
