Dan + Shay Releases New Song “Always Gonna Be”
American country pop music duo Dan + Shay, consisting of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, released the fourth single called “Always Gonna Be” from their upcoming fifth studio album “Bigger Houses” on August 4, 2023.
The song is a celebratory ode to the often-overlooked blessings in life.
The track was written by Shay Mooney, Dan Smyers, Shay Mooney, Ashley Gorley, Jordan Minton, and Jordan Reynolds.

The duo said of the song, “ALWAYS GONNA BE is one of our favorite songs we’ve ever written + recorded. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts because it was inspired by the very idea that we re-built our relationship on. Some things are always gonna be.”
The continued, “When we wrote this song, we didn’t even know we were starting an album. We were just two best friends, reunited, and enjoying making music together the way we did 10 years ago.”
They added, “Whether you’re listening for it or not, we think you’ll hear that magic in this recording. Thanks for allowing us to do what we love and for all the kind words about the new music.”
The new album “Bigger Houses” is set to be released on September 15, 2023.- The duo shared on social media, “In march of 2022, we met to discuss the future of the band. one of the most important things we talked about that night was our responsibility to our fans who had been with us through every high and low of the past 10 years.
Whether we decided to call it quits, or dive head first into a new chapter, we felt that we owed it to our fans to make peace with the idea of Dan + Shay in our hearts.
No matter the outcome, the music we created together would live on forever, and we wanted to be able to celebrate that rather than looking back in vain.
The moment that it all clicked and we knew we had to keep going was when we reflected on what our music has meant to people. When you're running a million miles an hour, sometimes it's hard to see in real time, but right then it had never been more clear.
We specifically said things like, 'Dan + Shay is always gonna be a tattoo on somebody's arm,' 'Dan + Shay is always gonna be a first dance at somebody's wedding.' We left that night with a fresh perspective on our career, and a genuine closeness in our 15 relationship. One of the goals we set was to spend more time together, like we did early on, so we decided to write the next day. we sat down with an acoustic guitar, and out of the sky fell a song called 'Always Gonna Be'.” - source : Apple Music
