Laufey Releases New Song “Bewitched”
Last month, Icelandic singer-songwriter Laufey announced her sophomore album “Bewitched” would be released on September 9, 2023.
The album comprises 14-track, including jazz standard “Misty”, co-produced by Laufey and Spencer Stewart.
Laufey said of the album, “This is a love album, whether it be a love towards a friend or a lover or life. The first album also touched on a lot of things like moving out of my childhood home and moving into a new city for the first time - being an adult. With this one, I've experienced a little bit more of that, and I'm writing about the magic in the love of being young.”
From the album, she released the title track as the third single off on July 26, 2023, following “From the Start” and “Promise”.
The track was written and produced by Laufey and Spencer Stewart.
She recorded the song with London-based Philharmonia Orchestra.
The accompanying music video was directed by Lewis Cater, who filmed in London.
