London Grammar Premieres New Remix of “Lord It's a Feeling” on BBC Radio 1
British indie pop band London Grammar, consisting of Hannah Reid (vocals), Dominic 'Dot' Major (keyboard) and Dan Rothman (guitar), premiered a new remix of “Lord It's a Feeling” from British DJ goddard. on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The new remix is the second single off of their upcoming remix collection “The Remixes”, which is set to be released on July 21, 2023.
The original version of the song is featured on their third studio album “Californian Soil”, which was released in 2021.
It was written by Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman, Dominic Major, and George FitzGerald.
Hannah Reid told Clara Amfo about remix version, “'Lord It's a Feeling' was originally a song that was kind of built from a loop. And we tend to find that songs that do come from loops originally lend themselves really well to electronic music, especially drum and bass. So goddard I was just the perfect person to do a remix of Lord. It's a feeling he absolutely smashed it. We're massive fans. We love this version of our song and we're so excited for you to hear it.”
- The new album comprises 16-track, including new reworkings from Dot Major, goddard., Jamie Jones, Joris Voorn and brand new original music from the group in collaboration with CamelPhat and SebastiAn.
Hannah Reid said, “All three of us grew up listening to electronic music. I remember buying CDs from a vending machine at Fabric. When me Dan and Dot first met we bonded over so much music - from the most obscure to the most commercial electronic sounds. Remixes from electronic artists have formed a huge part of our career and success as a band. They've influenced our live shows and taken us into a different space. This collection is a celebration of all the above. We are forever grateful for the impact electronic music has had on our career.”
