Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The New Division Releases New Song “One Day”
Los Angeles-based electronic producer John Kunkel, aka The New Division released a new song “One Day” on June 15, 2023.
The song is the first single since the album “Modern Life” released back in March.
The track was written and produced by John Glenn Kunke, and co-produced by F.J. DeSanto.
John Kunkel said of the song, “It's been a lot of fun working on this release. It's been in the works for about a year. Honestly, I don't know why it took so long, I think it was an idea that I just had kind of started and then little by little started piecing it together over time, but that's usually how I write I like to start things, a lot of ideas all at once and then eventually try to get to a place where it feels like there's something coming from all those different ideas.”- He continued, “It's very rare that I'll sit down and write a song and finish it in one day. But I mean, it has happened a few times, but it's pretty, pretty uncommon. So with this on one day, I think it was really just this idea that I wanted to make which was kind of like a very dancy kind of clubby sound but still has like that new division field with guitars and I had James who's our bandmate and also from another band called missing words, who just like such a great job at getting those guitars done. It was just such a great little way to bring the whole song together. So anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this song.”
