LT Releases New Song “Act Your Age”
Queensland-based singer-songwriter Leanne Tennant, aka LT released a new song “Act Your Age” on April 13, 2023.
Leanne Tennant co-wrote the song with producers Joel Quartermain and Edwin White.
The song follows up “Rollercoaster”, which was released last July.
Leanne Tennant said of the song, “When you're a kid, people are telling you to grow up and 'act your age' and then when you get a little older, women especially, are told they can't behave, dress, or continue working in a variety of careers because they're too old. Stuff that. I'll act whatever age I want to.”- She shared on social media, “It's about frustrations with societal expectations that you must fit within a certain framework to be deemed acceptable. That you be a certain age, look a certain way, or work a 9-5 for the rest of eternity. I wrote this song with Joel Quartermain and Edwin White, who then produced it, then it was mixed by Peter Holz.”
Formerly known as Leanne Tennant, LT was born in Ellesmere Port, UK, and now living in Tropical North Queensland in Australia.
She has won three Queensland Music Awards, the Carol Lloyd Award, and landed syncs with British Airways, Channel 7, ABC TV, and more. -
