  • Future Utopia Premieres New Song “Your Love” featuring Biig Piig on BBC Radio 1

  • British record producer Fraser T Smith, aka Future Utopia premiered a new song “Your Love” featuring Irish singer-songwriter Biig Piig on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.

The song will appear on his upcoming EP “We Were We Still Are”, which is set to be released on June 9, 2023 via The Orchard/70Hz.
This marks the first collaboration between Fraser T Smith and Biig Piig.
Fraser T Smith said of the song, “Working with BiiG PiiG was a great experience. We originally wrote 'Your Love' over an electronic beat, but I felt the message was getting lost, so I toned the track down to let the song breathe.”
The track was written by Fraser T Smith, Jessica Nancy Smyth, and The Earth. Produced by Fraser T Smith.
  • Fraser T Smith told Clara Amfo about working with Biig Piig, “A bit of silence because for a long time, and I've been wanting to get into studio with how I eventually got into studio with her last summer when I was going out doing DJ gigs in Ibiza and Barcelona and we got together I was in that sort of headspace. So we wrote 'your love' over more of an uptempo. And my new music is a little bit more guitar driven. So I took this song was just I couldn't leave it out off the EP, and I just reworked it into the traveler, I actually prefer this version. She gives you that vibe as well and she's so warm and that soft Irish voice you know, I just I love her as a person as an artist.”

  • The new EP comprises 5-track, featuring Kae Tempest, Biig Piig, and Tomi.
Fraser T Smith said of the EP, “'We Were We Still Are' is about progression through time and space - what we keep hold of and what we leave behind. I wanted my next body of work to encapsulate a lot of the elements of my first album, the experimental chords, the warm 70's aesthetic and the collaborations but also to show some progress as an artist. This has been a huge turning point for me creatively.”
