Milo Merah Returns With New Song “Linger”
London-based singer-songwriter Milo Merah has returned with his second single called “Linger”.
It is his first music in two years since the 2021 debut song “Hidden Desires”.
He worked with producers AUR3LIAN, Jeffrey Robert Cramer, and Matthew Harry Mason on the track.
Milo Merah said of the song, “The song is about my struggle to reconcile a relationship that was broken. I tried to fight for us, clinging onto old memories, but when I looked into her eyes I just knew she didn’t feel the same love anymore. At this point it became a war between my head and heart, Milo Merah confides. I’ve found that when things aren’t working - relationships can get toxic. Those toxic feelings can translate into intense physical intimacy, sometimes leading to a greater sense of loss. In the end, there was just a lingering sense of inevitability that the end was near, but she still left me to linger until I had the courage to say it was over.”
- Milo Merah is hailing from Brixton, South London, his musical gift was evident at 7, becoming the youngest ever singer to perform at his school recital.
As much of a fan of D’Angelo as James Blake, Tame Impala or Jeff Buckley, the genre-bending artist who grew up on alternative, electronic and R&B music has also been nurturing from a very young age a profound love for poetry that he now pours onto his songs.
He joined in ELEVNS's “Falling into You” in 2019 and released his debut song “Hidden Desires” in 2021.
He said, “Music really is my therapy. My way of reconciling what’s happened in the past and finding some peace. Hopefully others can find solace as well as joy through my songs.”
