Mazey Haze Releases New Song “Kill Me I Got You”
Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Nadine Appeldoorn, aka Mazey Haze will release her upcoming second EP “Back to the Start” on April 7, 2023.
It is her first project in two year since the 2021 EP “Always Dancing”.
released a new song “Kill Me I Got You” along with a music video on February 2, 2023.
It was written and produced by Nadine Appeldoorn with production by Pieter Vonk.
The track is written about sacrificing your own personal authenticity to appease someone else's desires.
With the song, she feels she has at last gotten to know herself, no matter how uncomfortable those moments of self-reflection may be.
Mazey Haze said, “I've learned that I should never force things with other people and be honest with myself and others – and I shouldn't be afraid to communicate that.”
- She continued, “It's about how the search for a profound, real connection with other people can be confusing, lonely and complicated. Why do I 'kill' myself to be who someone else wants me to be just so I can be with them?”
The accompanying video was directed by Wietger Mosch, who shot in in Hervelinghen, France.
It is inspired by the Swedish film “Kärlek 65”, and the 1990 film “Mr. Bean”.
Mazey Haze embarks on the Back to the Start Spring Tour. The tour kicks off at Toekomstmuziek Paradiso in Amsterdam on April 13, 2023.
Also, she will support Australian indie rock band Spacey Jane's the EU leg of their tour in February.
